I don't care what anyone says, when you wake up and it's below freezing in NYC, warmth takes priority over style. Don't get me wrong, I pride myself on always looking put together. But, there's something about the winter that makes you always want to feel cozy, including all your fashion choices. When I'm shopping for my winter staples -- those select items of clothing you can probably bet I'll be wearing at least three times a week during the coldest months of the year -- my focus is finding that perfect mix of style and warmth. Let's keep in mind, New York is a walking city, so the majority of the time, heels just aren't a viable option. Enter UGG's Quincy boot: a comfy, on-trend, combat-style, go-with-everything staple. Whether I'm heading to a SoulCycle class or throwing on a flirty maxi skirt, these do-it-all boots have secured a place at the front of my shoe closet. And, it definitely doesn't hurt the these shoes feel a lot like slippers, but look like a boot. Say hello to the winter shoe you will never want to take off!
Just to break down the rest of this look, I paired my UGG Quincy boot with one of my favorite fall maxi skirts, a black long-sleeved bodysuit, a cropped leather jacket, a suede wraparound choker and a ladylike envelope bag. I’m a big proponent of seasonal dressing, but I do think that there are pieces that can work year-round when styled the right way. For example, this skirt could definitely work in the summer with a black tank, jean jacket and gladiator sandals. But, it also makes for a totally unique holiday look with a little leather and a great boot.
