Make the Most of Minimal Space

This post is brought to you by IKEA and Her Campus Media.

I live in a New York apartment and for anybody familiar with the city, you know what that means…seriously minimal space.  I’ve partnered with IKEA to give you some expert tips on maximizing your space while on a budget.

Life is crazy and every day is different, so when I’m looking for décor, I like choosing pieces that will feel relaxed, effortless and consistent – all the vibes I’m looking for in my safe space. The laid-back boho style from IKEA feels like I’ve collected items from my travels around the world and put them together in an unexpected yet organic way. Thanks to globally inspired details, mixed patterns and natural textiles, even the smallest space can look larger-than-life.  Check out the video below to see a blank canvas turn into my bohemian oasis and learn a few easy decorating tips.

On-board with boho yet? How cute is that setup? See below to shop my absolute favorite pieces from the video.

1)   VIGDIS Cushion cover – Stacking a few pillows on the floor creates an instant sitting area and a super cozy vibe.

2)   TVILLING Poster set - Artwork adds such a personal feeling to a room. Use a wooden hanger for a unique twist on hanging your prints.

3)   SODERUP rug - A woven rug gives such a relaxed feeling to your space. Try layering a patterned rug on top for a personal touch.
